WOMAN OF THE WEEK – Adriana Lima

Adriana Lima – Models don’t get much sexier than her. Big lips, stunning eyes, beautiful hair and a sex appeal that could kill. This Brazilian model is best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She began modeling at age 15 and soon after in 1996 she won 2nd place in the contest Supermodel of the World. She is married to the Serbian basketball player Marko Jarić. I’ve always loved Lima for being the most unique and edgy looking Angel. She’s one bad-ass model if I may say so myself.

Happy New Years!

Happy 2012 everyone! The year went by a little too quick for comfort if I may say so myself! In the spirit of New Years and Resolutions here are my 12 (slightly vague) New Years Resolutions for 2012:

  1. Forgive and forget – Push aside any hidden anger.
  2. Love more, hate less.
  3. Exercise more (This is the tough one).
  4. Write twice a week.
  5. BE on TIME.
  6. Be healthy – Body and Mind.
  7. Make new friendships.
  8. Work extra hard on my studies.
  9. Make a conscious effort to be green.
  10. Keep in touch with friends and family that are far away.
  11. Appreciate the little things.
  12. Try and see the bigger picture.

White Chocolate Peppermint Bark

I love the holidays and I love baking so it comes to no surprise that I love Christmas baking. From the genius Martha Stewart (of course) here is the White Chocolate Peppermint Bark recipe – I hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds white chocolate, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces (I used chocolate morsels which can be found at any bulk foods store.)
  • 12 large candy canes (Or many many small ones)
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint oil (Optional)

Directions

  1. Line an 11-by-17-inch baking sheet with parchment, and set aside.
  2. In the top of a double boiler, melt white chocolate, stirring constantly. If you don’t have a double boiler, use a metal bowl set over a pot of simmering water.
  3. With a chef’s knife or meat tenderizer, cut or pound candy canes into 1/4-inch pieces.
  4. Stir pieces of candy canes and peppermint oil into the melted chocolate. Remove from heat, and pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet; spread evenly. Chill until firm, 25 to 30 minutes. Break into pieces, and serve. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

WOMAN OF THE WEEK – Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr. Her beauty is breathtaking not to mention her pre, during and post baby body. There are only two words to describe Kerr – Absolutely flawless. This Australian babe began modeling in the fashion industry when she was only 13 years old. Now a Victoria Secret Model she is one of the most recognizable of the angels. In this years show Kerr modeled a bra worth 2.5 million dollars after returning from maternity leave and rocked it with her banging bod. She tied the knot with Orlando in 2010 and the happy couple had their baby Flynn shortly after. For some more photos of Kerr look below.

Can you say girl crush?

Even with a baby on the way this woman is sexy as can be.

Who can make cotton lingerie look that good? Kerr of course. There is not much to say about Miranda other than she’s talented, cute and one hell of a babe. This makes Miranda Kerr my woman of the week.

Priscilla Ahn

Priscilla Ahn is an American singer-songwriter who has touched me with her wonderful music for quite sometime. She is stunning and has an unbelievably brilliant voice. Priscilla Ahn’s lyrics are nothing but raw, inspirational and true. Ahn was married to Michael Weston in March 2010. She released her first album in 2008 and released a second in May of this year. WOMAN OF THE WEEK – Vanessa Paradis

Ah L’Amour. Vanessa Paradis – Beautiful, talented and unique. Paradis is a major fashion icon of mine. She always looks super stylish and can pull of almost anything. This french artist modeled before her acting career bloomed and before she dedicated years to her musical career as a singer. And as if that isn’t enough she and heart throb Johnny Depp have been steady since 1995. Two glorious kids later and Paradis is still one of the most jaw-dropping and accomplished french talents there is.

The adorable gap between her teeth is Vanessa’s iconic look. For some time Vanessa Paradis has also been a face for Coco Chanel. She has filmed commercials for both Chanel Rouge and for the scent Coco l’esprit de Chanel. Like I said before – Beautiful and unique.

Vanessa Paradis and her sweetheart Johnny Depp were photographed together for an editorial in French Glamour. You gotta love the french. There is no doubt that both these talents are fashion icons of mine.
